I was born in Beaumont Texas in 1981, the second son of Syrian immigrants. I grew up in Northern California. After working as a real estate developer for several years I started a second career in photography.

My first camera was one of those long skinny plastic ones. I took pictures of my childhood cat in film. Twenty years later I got a digital camera and I started shooting artsy fashion, landscapes and still life.

My favorite thing to photograph is a blizzard. They’re stunning. Plus you get the whole place to yourself because everyone goes inside. And there’s an element of danger during a blizzard which you can feel in the pictures.
